Amitech Argentina S.A. is a leading Argentine company that manufactures and commercialises Glass Reinforced Plastic - GRP piping systems.

Amitech was created in 1995 and established its manufacturing plant in the Province of Cordoba, Argentina. The brand under which pipes are manufactured is Flowtite and the diameters range from 300 to 3000 millimetres for working pressures of up to 32 bars.

The Colombian group Grupo Inversiones Mundial owns 70% of Amitech while the other 30% belongs to Amiantit Group of Saudi Arabia. Both consortiums are leading GRP pipe manufacturers in Latin America and the world respectively
Inversiones Mundial was founded in 1921 and conducts business in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina and its annual sales amount to USD 800m. The core activities are the production of resins, paints, chemical products, consumption goods and pipes.

In the pipe manufacturing business in particular, Grupo Inversiones Mundial operates under the coverage of O-tek, a holding created for that special purpose and responsible for the GRP pipes plants in Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and in the near future in Mexico.

The four plants aforementioned are expected to produce around 1,300 km per year, taking as a sample a pipeline of an average diameter of one and a half meters.

Amiantit is at the same time the largest world manufacturer of GRP pipes and fittings with GRP plants based in Germany, Saudi Arabia, China, Dubai, Egypt, the Emirates, Spain, the United States, India, Italy, Poland, South Africa and Turkey, among other countries.

Our products (pipes, fittings and manholes) are oriented to the sanitary industry (drinkable water and sewage) as well to other areas like energy, watering, mining and other industries and in particular for pressure aqueducts within the range of the diameters and pressures we produce.

Amitech Argentina operates within an Integrated Management System certified according to the provisions of ISO 9001 (environment management) and of OHSAS 18001 (security and labour health management). Our pipes have also been endorsed by IRAM, the Argentine Standards Agency.

The pipes manufactured by Amitech Argentina have been used in the main aqueducts and sewage and drinkable water nets built in the last few years in Argentina and its neighbouring countries . For more details, please check our references.

Each year Amitech Argentina exports one quarter of its production mainly to the following countries: Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay and others, thus showing the quality and competitiveness of its products.
